Cans for Communion

Each time we share Holy Communion together the Sunday morning adult Bible study class invites our church family to participate in our community ministry. By bringing canned or packaged food the congregation helps fulfill our mission to collect and distribute food each month to several food pantries/food banks in our community who serve others in need.

On the FIRST Sunday of every month, please bring your food donations to share communion with the wider community. We are in need of the following items:

  • Canned Vegetables
  • Canned Fruits
  • Coffee
  • Tea
  • Rice
  • Pasta
  • Baby food
  • Spaghetti sauce
  • Box mixes
  • Canned meats
  • Prepared foods
  • Peanut butter
  • Paper products, such as plates, napkins, cups & silverware.

There is one rule of thumb: the bigger the cans and the bulkier the paper products the better!

Please check the expiration dates on the food and do not donate out of date food. Food can be dropped off before worship at the tables located in the Narthex and side entrances.
